Our Call for Speakers for WTM Vienna 2020 is open!


The event takes place on the 14th of March 2020.


Women Techmakers Vienna 2020 is an annual conference targeted at women*,
working or planning to pursue a career in the STEM fields; these encompass
science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Our goal is to raise public
awareness of existing gender issues through the power of example.

We are in search of engaging speakers and workshop facilitators that can
provide interesting technical or social impact talks and workshops,
highlighting their experiences and achievements.


  • You will have a 25 minute slot, including an optional Q&A session.
  • Your talk needs to be in English.
  • First time speakers are very welcome!


  • You will have a time slot of 60, 90 or 120 minutes.
  • Your workshop needs to be in English.


Technical talks and workshops should be about a subject that relates to STEM fields,
presented in a fun and introductory manner, since our audience is very diverse.

Social impact talks and workshops should demonstrate causes, examples, solutions for
gender issues and empower women* that pursue or plan to pursue a career in STEM.

Your Application must include

  • a short introduction about yourself
  • a draft outline of your talk or workshop


We will offer free speaker coaching for those who are interested.

Speaker assistance

We'd love to assist you with travel and accommodation. If your company is able to help, please let us know and we'll add them to our list of partners!

Please send in your proposal by 20th of January 2020.
All proposals will be carefully reviewed by the Women Techmakers team and you will be soon updated about the status of your submission.
