Jenny Huch
Originally from Hanover Jenny Huch studied sociology in Göttingen and sociological conflict research in Augsburg. In 2022 she started working at KUKA as an Analyst for the Social Impacts of Robotics and now investigates as an UX Researcher the psychological, ethical, and social effects of robotics in human‑robot interaction. As a sociologist and expert in qualitative social research, her goal is to explore and develop robotic systems that are not only technically advanced but also socially sustainable. Furthermore, she is a member of Women in AI and Robotics and the National Coordinator of ERW Germany.
Session
I entered tech through sociological conflict research, discovering quickly that technology succeeds only when its social realities are understood. From fieldwork in Tanzania to robotics research at KUKA, my path breaks conventional patterns—showing how interdisciplinary, human centered perspectives reshape the traditional manufacturing sector and make technology truly meaningful.
